چکیده
Target detection and localization is an active research area due to its importance in a wide range of application such as biomedical and military applications. In this paper, a novel method for the detection and estimation of signal parameters such as range and direction of arrival for multiple farfield target using wideband echo chirp signals is proposed. Sonar and radar are the active detection systems transmit well defined signals into a region of interest. A model preprocessing procedure is designed for the echo signal. The parameters estimation method for multiple targets is developed based on the Linear Canonical transform and the Fast Root MUSIC algorithm which is a high resolution DOA estimation method originally proposed for any arbitrary arrays to reduce the computational complexity in existing systems. The proposed method provides high accuracy of detection and resolution even in very low SNR values.

Three Dimensional Localization of an Unknown Target Using Two Heterogeneous Sensors
Heterogeneous wireless sensor networks consist of some different types of sensor nodes deployed in a particular area. Different sensor types can measure different quantity of a source and using the combination of different measurement techniques, the minimum number of necessary sensors is reduced in localization problems. In this paper, we focus on the single source localization in a heterogene...

متن کاملEstimation of harmonic interference parameters of surface-NMR signal using an adaptive method and residual signal power
Surface nuclear magnetic resonance (surface-NMR) method is a well-known tool for determining the water-bearing layers and subsurface resistivity structure. Harmonic interference is an inevitable interference in surface-NMR measurements. Accurate estimation of harmonic interference parameters (i.e., fundamental frequency, phase and amplitude) leads to better retrieval of power-line harmonics and...

The target position information contained in scattering data is explored in the context of the scalar Helmholtz operator for the basic twopoint scatterer system by means of the statistical estimation framework of the Fisher information and associated Cramér-Rao bound (CRB) relevant to unbiased position estimation. The CRB results are derived for the exact multiple scattering model and, for refe...

A detector for the case of a radar target with known Doppler and unknown complex amplitude in complex Gaussian noise with unknown parameters has been derived. The detector assumes that the noise is an Auto-Regressive (AR) process with Gaussian autocorrelation function which is a suitable model for ground clutter in most scenarios involving airborne radars. The detector estimates the unknown...
